Big Sandy Christmas Stroll News

Recap of all the events coming up at the Stroll December 3

November 30, 2016

The Big Sandy Christmas Stroll is this next Saturday, December 3 and never has there been more to do during the day in and around Big Sandy.

• There is the Craft Show in the Memorial Hall. It lasts all day and it is a full house. What a perfect place that is to get a homemade Christmas present or some goodies for Christmas sharing.

• How about the hay rides? They start at 1pm at Firemen's Park

• At "The Mountaineer" there will be a school winter art show and western artist Tony Collins will be demonstrating all things art with branding irons.

• There is the parade which starts at 5:30 and gives people in the parade a chance to win some big money in Big Sandy bucks.

• For something new there is the Christmas Cocktail Throwdown where Peps, the Mint and the Diamond 4U Club will each try to make the best tasting Christmas cocktail in Big Sandy.

• Don't miss the traditional Breakfast with Santa at the Mint from 8:30 to 10am that morning. Have a great breakfast and get the children's pictures taken with not only Santa but the elves too.

• Drawings galore at The Grocery Store and warm drinks, tasty treats and the first annual Gingerbread House display at the Bear Paw Deli.

• There is a baked goods and craft sale at the Senior Center and a spaghetti dinner served there or to go as well.

• Weather permitting the Live Nativity will be next to Wells Fargo from 12 to 3pm.

• There will be the button drawing and auction at City Hall at 6pm.

• Maybe the most memorable part of the day will be the luminaries in the Fireman's Park starting at 7pm Saturday evening.

There is so much. Don't miss any of it!
