Pinochle Results

Sixteen eager folks gathered at the Mint Family Room for an afternoon of food, fun, and fellowship as we played pinochle. The big winner who took home $25.00 was a newcomer to the group, Larry Bitz, with a score for seven rounds or twenty-eight hands of 7420. Second place and $20.00 was earned by Rebecca (Bitz) Wiehe for her score of 6940. Third place and a $ 15.00 payout went to John Cline who had a total score of 6900 points, Charlene Moravec was the fourth place finisher and her score of 6860 netted her $10.00.Fifth and Sixth place winners were Wilma Welty and Roberta Whetham who had scores of 6770 and 6750, respectively, and as a result each got their $5.00 entry fee returned. Frank Motavec garnered the lowest score for the second week in a row and also had his $5.00 returned to him. His total for the afternoon was 3800 points. We have to play the cards we are dealt and no amount of whining or bad language can change that.

We meet again on the 22nd, next Sunday, and hope to see you there for our 2 p.m. start time.
