Gun Show Set for this Weekend in Big Sandy

Big Sandy will again hold the Gun show January 27-29.

This January 27, 28 and 29 will be the Fifth Annual Gun and Ammo show held in January in Big Sandy, Montana. It will be held at the Jerry Martin Memorial Hall. Cost to get in the gate is five dollars and that is good for all three days.

Hours are Friday, January 27 noon until 6pm, Saturday, January 28 nine to 6pm and Sunday, January 29 nine until 3pm.

There will be fourteen vendors who will be utilizing fifty tables to sell their wares and lest you think the gun and ammo show is just about guns and ammo, you need to attend and see all the various and unique things for sale by a multitude of very talented venders.

Venders this year include the following:

Ron Otto and Duke Pursley with their Little Sharps Rifles

Virgelle Mercantile with antiques and collectables

Black Coulee Archery

Rex Swinney with guns and ammo

Linda Carlson with self defense and survival equipment

Chute Guns

Walker Grips and elk horn pistol grips and belt buckles along with knives.

Montana Holster and Shoulder Rigging

Darrell Keck with antique colts, Winchesters and collectibles

Gary Ogilvie with guns and ammo and accessories

Harwood bullets and guns

Kirkley Butler ammo and gun parts

Long time dealer Don Foster is being honored. He won't be at the show this year as he is fighting colon cancer. Prayers are with him.

Also the Gun and Ammo show lost a friend when Dick Tyler passed away last fall.

It has not been decided yet who will benefit from some of the proceeds of the show but someone will. The first two years some proceeds went to help with local benefits. The third year some proceeds went to the Big Sandy new library. Last year some proceeds went to the Big Sandy food bank.

Various restaurants get very busy during the gun show as the show brings a lot of people into town. The Mint has their Saturday prime rib dinner during the show. Vance Butler said to be sure and let him know if they are going to the prime rib dinner as The Mint can run out if they don't know how many to plan for.

Of course there is free coffee and cookies at the show and donations are always welcome.
