When purchasing cosmetic products, for beneficial uses, many people do not think how clean a cleaning product is. Many of these products you purchase, that are made by large commercial companies, can be extremely bad for you. These products can contain unhealthy products such as preservatives, artificial scents, and other unhealthy ingredients. If you looked into where these cosmetic products are made, you might even find that these large multinational companies can produce pollutants or the factories themselves are unsanitary.

Made With Care

Handmade cosmetic products are usually locally made and crafted by men and women who believe and take pride in their work; for example: my growing business in Big Sandy, Montana. We aren’t looking for simple work and high profits; most of us create these cosmetic products as more of a hobby and enjoy creating them. This is the reason that these handmade products are creative and fun to use. When you purchase these you feel more comfortable purchasing them, because the producers of these cosmetic products are handing you the product instead of you purchasing them from a retail store shelf.

Beneficial Properties

Another reason to buy homemade cosmetic products is the quality of the product you are purchasing. Many large companies use unhealthy and slightly poisons ingredients to craft their product. One of the worst things found in cosmetic products from large cosmetic manufacturing plants is parabens. Parabens are chemical preservatives used by large companies. These are known to cause cancer and show other harmful symptoms. Large manufacturing companies also use artificial scents and claim they still have beneficial powers like those of essential oils. Homemade cosmetics that actually contain these essential oils can be very beneficial in these products. According to Raelynn Genereux, “Essential oils can be beneficial by being used to soothe muscles, lessen the symptoms of a cold, boost your immunity, and help many other aspects of your health.”

Facility Cleanliness

During a survey of many large cosmetic companies, they were found to have unclean production facilities and they treated their workmen poorly. Most of these workmen have to work many hours a day and will get paid very little amounts of pay. These workers have to work in harmful environments where many cancer causing products release fumes into the production facility air. During the making of homemade cosmetic products nobody is put in danger of receiving cancer from the harmful products. The workers in a homemade cosmetic product facilities are usually excited to make these products and enjoy creating their masterpieces.

Keeping it Local

When purchasing cosmetic products from multinational products you’re spending money on products out of this state or country. When buying cosmetic products, such as my soaps, lotions, and other products, you are circulating money locally. This helps the communities’ economies remain stable, which is better for all of us.

This is why you should purchase cosmetic products only from local producers. By purchasing only from them you can ensure that your body is being applied with only healthy products that also have beneficial purposes. You then would not be supporting unsanitary companies. When purchasing from local producers you are keeping money circulating in your community rather than spending it on large companies ran in other nations.
