On Wednesday, Sep 13, Big Sandy FFA Chapter brought twenty-two students to Hobson, Montana for the District Leadership Conference. The students participated in leadership and trust exercises, learned about FFA, and discussed career opportunities within agriculture. DIstrict Leadership COnference serves as a kickoff to our new FFA competition season.

Ms. Bernhardt stated that “-it was exciting to see an increased number of junior high students as well as some new upperclassmen joining us at this purposeful event.”

The chapter was also awarded second place in the 2016-2017 Senior Sweepstakes which is based on overall scores in Mechanics, Agronomy, Livestock Evaluation, and Farm Business Management CDEs (Career Development Events). The Big Sandy FFA Chapter is looking forward to another great year of developing premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
