The Big Sandy Pioneer football team will be carrying a lot of momentum as they head into the weekends rivalry game against the North Star Knights, Friday night.

Parker Prouix found Tanner Allderdice for a 42 yard pitch and catch and senior Bryant Jones returned an interception to the house but Big Sandy still trailed 20-16 heading into the second stanza. Things would quickly change from that point as Big Sandy completely took over the contest.

Senior Weston Allderdice scored three touchdowns in the frame and freshman Kade Strutz added another giving Big Sandy a 43-20 advantage at the intermission.

Strutz and Allderdice again found the end zone in th third quarter to stretch the advantage to 55-20 entering the fourth quarter.

Sophomore Ryan Roth would finish the scoring for the Pioneers taking it in from five yards out to put the finishing touches on a lopsided 63-26 win over the Refiners.

The North Star Knights have been longtime rivals of the Pioneers and a win over the visitors would be the perfect conclusion to the Big Sandy Volunteer Fire Departments Annual Chili Feed.
