Chouteau County Juniors and Seniors will participate in 2017 Chouteau County Agricultural Business Day

Junior and Senior students from Big Sandy High School, Fort Benton High School, Geraldine High School, Highwood High School, and Chouteau County Home Schools will participate in the 2017 Chouteau County Agricultural Business day on November 8th. The event will take place from 8:50 a.m. -12:00 p.m. at the Ag Center (1205 20th Street) and Fort Benton High School (1820 Washington).

An estimate of twenty Chouteau County businesses will be in attendance to educate Juniors and Seniors about agricultural career opportunities in Chouteau County. Business participating in the event will include agronomists, elevator managers, insurance agents, agricultural equipment suppliers, agricultural engineers, agricultural technologists, bankers, financial planners, attorneys, entrepreneurs, animal scientists, Agricultural Education instructors and agricultural agencies.


The mission statement of the event is to educate Chouteau County Juniors and Seniors about agricultural career opportunities in an effort to promote Chouteau County growth and agricultural related careers.

The Agricultural business day is a collaborative effort between Chouteau County Agricultural businesses, Chouteau County Extension, Big Sandy High School, Fort Benton High School, Geraldine High School and Highwood High School. Thank you to the businesses, guidance counselors and principals who assisted in the planning process. In addition, special thanks goes to the Ag Center, the Chouteau County Farm Bureau, the Montana Farmers Union, and the Montana Grain Growers Association for donating to the event.

November 8, 2017, Chouteau County Agricultural Business Day, 8:50 a.m. at the Ag Center and Fort Benton High School.
