Front Range Wool Pool Meeting in Conrad

The Front Range Wool Pool meeting will take place on December 5th in Conrad, Montana at the Conrad Moose Lodge. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. A Potluck Supper will begin at 6:00 p.m. President Pete Cornell from Loma will welcome participants followed by Dave McEwen, who will give an update on the Montana Wool Growers Association.

Drought Symposia in Choteau

Teton County Extension is hosting a Drought Symposia on December 6th in Choteau, Montana at the Stage Stop Inn. Registration will begin at 9:15 a.m. Presentations will begin at 9:30 with the following presenters:

Prairie Dog Control Workshop in Malta

With the increase in prairie dogs the last few years

it’s a good time to revisit control options. Stephen Van Tassel, Montana State Vertebrate Pest Specialist, will be at the library basement in Malta on November 13, at 3 pm to discuss the biology of and control options for prairie dogs. The program will also cover understanding the pesticide label and record keeping. Participant will be awarded 2 private recertification credits and receive a record keeping book.
