Chouteau County Fair Blue Jeans & Country Dreams August 16th - 19th

The members of the Chouteau County Fair Board are happy to invite you and all your friends to the upcoming Chouteau County Fair. August 17-19, 2018. This marks the 106th edition and they are excited again about the event filled fair. Discount tickets are available for the early birds at $45 for an adult package of three night show tickets and $10 for a student (6-15) package through August 15 by calling or contacting Shirley Embleton 781-2724 or contacting a board member.

Kicking off the fair Thursday evening, August 16th the Grocery Store in Big Sandy brings us the second Harvest Hot Dish and Harvest Home Cooked Dessert Competition. This was a hit last year!! The application is on the website chocofair.com. County cooks bring your family favorite Harvest Hot Dish or Home Cooked Desert for the public to eat and be judged.

Trophies will be awarded to first place adult and youth (17 and under) winners. People's Choice winners receive a trophy as well and involves a one dollar vote. The money raised is contributed to the Chouteau County Food Bank.

The following evening Friday August 17, the night show will be the Golden Harvest Seeds Montana State Championship Pig Wrestling in the grandstand area. There is a Calcutta before the event. This is the 11th year for this event and we are expecting 40, four person teams of all ages to compete.

August 18, Saturday night First Bank of Montana, Fort Benton and Tractor and Equipment are proud to present United Truck and Tractor Pullers Event. This is a professional truck/tractor pull with the addition of a local pulling contests. Looking forward to seeing what Chouteau County farm and ranchers have to offer in the local entries as well as some dramatic pulling from the pros.

August 19, 2018--Sunday, the final night, we will have our famous Demolition Derby to close the events. There will be a main event and the herby derby but in addition to those events the fair is featuring for the second year an old fashioned Chain & Go.

THIS IS INTENDED TO BE A SIMPLE, SAFE, LOW-COST CLASS FOR THE BEGINNER OR CASUAL DERBIER! NO HIGH-PERFORMANCE PARTS, ETC. JUST GUT AND GO! BUILD WITH THIS IN MIND.

Daytime entertainment include a visit to the Commercial Building to see what business are represented and have to offer for sale is worthwhile. A stop in to all of the various Exhibit Buildings and animal barns will provide a glimpse in to the talent and ambition in the county from entrants of all ages.

Double Vision Comedians and Magician-A FREE STAGE ACT Identical twins located in Saskatoon, Canada providing clean comedy magic, what a great combination! When you experience magic happening in your own hands, you'll know why Mitchell and Michael have won awards for their sleight of hand magic. Mitchell and Michael take full advantage of the identical twin aspect and because of this you'll see many routines in their shows that are unique to them. Another benefit to any Double Vision performance is that audience participation is a large part of every show. Whether demonstrating the incredibly funny mental connection between twins or releasing the hidden entertainer in their volunteers, Double Visions stage show is something you won't soon forget. They will be in the Blue Building behind the Grandstands.

Saturday the Heritage Day Event will give participants and onlookers a chance to learn how craftsman and women provided for their family or entertained themselves in years gone by.

Paint less Paint Ball is loads of fun and no paint mess- bring a team and challenge each other or entertain yourself and friends on the Fly Trap. Strap on a Velcro suit, jump and stick to the wall, both of these are free to participate. Splatt Inflatables will be bringing a bounce house an obstacle course and water wars. Fun for all ages.

Knockerball Attraction-for a nominal fee- is a single chamber inflatable sphere with inner handles and adjustable shoulder straps they can be used singularly to perfect your rolls, flips, and wheels.
