May 1, 2019

Dorthea Merrill, a first year Barracuda.

Dorothea Merrill has waited two years to be a part of the state champion Big Sandy Barracudas swim team. Registration is now opened for this year's team. You must be five years of age and able to swim the length of the swimming pool before you can join the team. The registration fee is $50 per swimmer or for a family there is a $125 cap. There is also the cost of a summer swimming pass to the Big Sandy Pool, which will be $60 for a single pass and $100 for a family pass. You must also buy a Barracuda swimsuit.

As a member of the swim team you must attend practices and at least two swim meets.

Dryland practice starts May 1st for grades 6th on up. Officially swimming practice starts June 1st. There are six meets, if you choose to attend all six, before divisional and state.

The head coach is Travis Baumann. Practices will be determined after the registration is completed and the number of swimmers and their skill level is determined. If you have any question call Heather Pleninger, President of BSST at 390-6786.
