May 5, 2021

The Big Sandy track team will be sending seven athletes to the Cascade North Central B/C Top 10 Meet, hosted by Choteau High School on May 4th. This invitation-only meet showcases the top track athletes in the Northern Division in both classes B and C. Three throwers will be competing for the Pioneers: Kade Strutz, who is currently ranked 3rd in the northern division in both the shot and discus, Parker Proulx, a late addition to the Pioneers roster, is ranked 2nd in the javelin, while freshman Wylee Snapp is ranked 4th. Proulx returns to the team after several months of rehabilitative surgery and physical therapy following a catastrophic knee injury sustained during football playoffs. He also underwent two wrist surgeries to repair damages from a previous playoff football stint. His first return to the field was the Cal Wearly Meet on April 27th.

There will also be two freshman runners representing the Pioneer squad: Lane Demontiney will be running in the 800 and 1600 (currently ranked 8th and 6th respectively) and Cooper Taylor in the 300m hurdles; currently ranked 6th.

On the girls side, Eva Wagoner will have a very busy day. She will be running the 100m (currently ranked 4th), 200m (7th), 100m hurdles (3rd) and the 300 m hurdles (4th). Jaycee Worrall will round out the squad, running the 400 meters (12th).
