Pioneers split games on the weekend

On Friday night the Pioneers faced the Box Elder Bears, in a game where the contest where the Bears would get hot from the behind the three-point line giving the bears the 34-25 edge at half time. The Pioneers wouldn't go away as the put up a 22-point quarter and giving the Pioneers a two-point edge after three quarters. In the 4th the hot shooting continued for Box Elder as they would go on to win the contest 71-63. The Pioneers would be led by Wylee Snapp with 22 points, Braydon Cline added 15 and Demontiney put in 13.

In Saturdays contest the Pioneers looking to bounce back from last nights loss, as they would face the North Star Knights. In a game where the defense from the Pioneers really gave them the edge in the contest, only giving up 4 points in the first and a total of 16 in the first half of play setting the score at 20-16 in favor of the Pioneers. In the second half the offense of the Pioneers started to click. Coming out of the half and putting up a 15-point quarter, pushing the lead to 35-22. Pioneers would finish the contest strong adding 20 points in the final quarter and giving them a big bounce back win 55-35. Braydon Cline led the way for the Pioneers with 20 points and Strutz added 15. The Pioneers move to 7-1 on the season.
