It amazes me how much musical talent is in the community. On May 24, there was a spring piano recital for the students of five piano teachers. Those five teachers were TJ Bond, Michelle Danreuther, Nona Danreuther, Dianna Keane, Marla Ray, Susie Sant, and Jaycee Worrall.

Thirty students played; some were significantly advanced, others just beginning. Most were solos, but there were duets as well, and even the three Yirsa brothers played Steady Eddy together with Marla Ray.

The Big Sandy Pioneer track team was present at the recital because track team members Jenny and Angie Sant and Evalina Wagoner were a part of the recital.

There were songs I didn't know that was played beautifully and had me thinking I needed to hear that song again. There were songs I knew and found myself singing along. There were songs played that made me think to myself; I wish I had continued with my lessons.

Starting the program was Jaycee Worrall playing a song by Johann S. Bach. Jaycee is a Junior and one of the oldest to play. She is a talented Musician. One of her students, Georgia Silvan, played Horse Sense.

Zac Erie played This is Not Jingle Bells. I love the name of the next one, Lonesome Broccoli Blues, played by Jack Sant.

It's never too late to learn, Eva Wagoner, a Junior, played Autumn Waltz, and she proved that practice makes perfect.

Eryn Hartley played Oh! Susanna, a duet with Nona Danreuther. She followed it up with Ode to Joy from Beethoven's 9th Symphony.

Other music enjoyed was Jenny Sant, who played Spring; Kennedy Keane Mist on the Lake; Wren Danreuther-Etude and Cripple Creek, Kanin played Surprise Symphony No. 94 and Yankee Doodle. D'Aree Sunchild played a woody Guthrie song; This Land Is Your Land. Peyton Sant This little light of Mine, Harley LaBuda played two the House of the Rising Sun and Amazing Grace. Ruth Erie played Scales and Arpeggios. James Yirsa-Ballet Scene from Beethoven, Bridger Keane-Bingo, Lyndee Worrall played Morning Stroll and The Entertainer. Jaycee and Lyndee Worrall played Bubble Gum Rag. Chaz Danreuther played lightly Row and Boil the Cabbage; Isaac Goodman The Blue Danube Waltz. Jaesun Yirsa played John Philip Sousa's Washington Post March and Ballerina with Music, Dorothea Merrill-Chim Chim Cher-ee, Elise Hartley-Ballade, and Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again. Davy Overbay played Take Me Out to The Ball Game, Daijalin Sunchild-A Whole New World, Wren & Chaz Danreuther -Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. London Keane played Prelude Majestic, Gabriella Cox-Do, Re, Mi, and Tommy Sant played Married Life.
