CCPA Christmas Concert Features Local Talent

December 2, 2015

Chouteau County Performing Arts' Christmas Concert will feature talent from Chouteau County Sunday December 6th, at 3 PM at the Fort Benton Elementary School Auditorium. We welcome to the stage some old favorites and some new talent from people you know. After a fun day of shopping at the Bridgeport Station or the other numerous events in Chouteau County and watching the Parade of Lights, come enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon of Christmas music. This show is presented in partnership with Jim Taylor Motors, whose generous donation makes events like this possible. Please let them know if you enjoyed the concert next time you are there.

Featured again, are Peter and Molly Wilson from Highwood. Peter is in his 7th year as the music teacher at Highwood School. Molly teaches violin/fiddle lessons to students, and has competed in fiddle contests throughout the west. The jazz Christmas they performed last year went over so well, they decided to try it again with Peter on piano, Molly on violin and vocals. Joining this duo will be Rob Kohler on bass and Rod Chaon on drums.

After the intermission TC Dance returns to delight the audience with their talent and grace, with exciting new dances. Bring your camera to keep the memories alive.

Jamie and Shaun Carrier, locally known as The Lucky Valentines, perform original songs of Americana folk style on guitar and violin. If luck has it we may get other family members involved in their performance with one or two sisters singing, and Ross Rettig on bass.

Bring the whole family, young, and young at heart, to experience the great talent of these local hometown friends. The concert will include many familiar Christmas tunes to sing along with and some instrumentals to put you in the spirit of the season. Refreshments will be provided by Price Rite Food Farm. The North Pole elves will attempt to wrestle Santa away from playing with the toys he's made, long enough to put him on a sled bound for Fort Benton to wind up the show

Admission is by CCPA season ticket, or tickets sold at the door to adult non season ticket holders. Children get in free. For More information call 750-2918 or 622-5677. CCPA concerts are presented in part by grants from The Montana Cultural Trust, The Montana Arts Council, WESTAF, National Endowment for the Arts, The Montana Performing Arts Consortium and The Lippard-Clawiter Foundation.
