The Big Sandy Mountaineer -

On December 14, 2015, Big Sandy High School will be flooded with eager FFA students from 14 different chapters to compete in district career development events (CDE). This year, Big Sandy FFA is on the rotation to host a number of different events including agricultural sales, parliamentary procedure, star greenhand and a number of public speaking events. The contests will start promptly at 9:00 AM and run throughout the day. The Big Sandy FFA has had overwhelming support from community members who will serve as judges and make the events possible. Each chapter in the district is responsible, about every 5 years, for hosting a district event in either fall, winter, or spring. This year the FFA theme is AMPLIFY: Boost your impact. Big Sandy FFA chapter hopes to boost their impact by hosting a well run, successful district contest. The chapter would like to thank the judges and the community in advance for making this event possible.
