    This week, the Montana High School Association awarded Quinn Rodewald the Male Student Athlete of the Week. The honor is given to one male and one female varsity athlete every week throughout the school year. He was nominated following his win at the Cascade wrestling tournament, during which he achieved his outstanding 100th career win. Last week, he won the Cut Bank wrestling tournament.     On Tuesday January 6th we traveled to play Winifred, a former rival in the 8C who has now moved to the Southern Division.     On December 5th we traveled to Sunburst to take on the North Toole County Refiners of the 10C. We walked away with a 56-45 win.     The Pioneers scored first after Wes Cox took the opening kick return deep into Mountaineer territory. Cox would finish off the drive on a short touchdown run.     The Pioneers trailed the Rangers 16-8 at the end of the first quarter of Saturday's contest in Grass Range. Quinn Rodewald connected with Karter Jurenka on a deep touchdown to put Big Sandy on the scoreboard. Ultimately mistakes in all three phases to the game resulted in 24 straight points for the Rangers.
