The count down has begun for the Big Sandy Rotary Club Annual Benefit Banquet. The tickets have been on sale now for a little over a week and are steadily being sold. If you want to go to the banquet and have not yet been in contact with a Rotarian to purchase a ticket, please contact Demra Brown, Jodi Thornton or any other Rotarian to purchase your ticket to the greatest Star party a small town can ever have. Purchasing a banquet ticket gives you the opportunity to come and Wish Upon a Star and gives a chance to win one the big prizes the Big Sandy Rotary Club is giving away and have a delicious prime rib dinner for two. To raise extra money and to defray the cost of the banquet, there will be plenty of silent auction items, raffle events and special drawings and door prizes.

Big Sandy Rotary Club helped the purchase and continuing upkeep of the exercise equipment located at Big Sandy High School. The equipment is available for the public use any time by anyone. The Big Sandy Rotary Club funds the flowers and their maintenance in the city park each summer. The Big Sandy Rotary Club has been in existence since 1950, that's 66 years. The Rotary Club's early vision resulted in the Big Sandy Swimming Pool and the Big Sandy Medical Center. Now the Rotary Club is helping the city and the schools with their vision for a new swimming facility for the community. The Rotary Club has provided sidewalks in the community and provides upkeep for Sheehy Park in the Bear Paw Mountains. If you have children or grandchildren, the Big Sandy Rotary Club has been involved with providing extra curricular activities, Scouts, scholarships, summer camps, and just about anything else that young person might have done outside a class room in Big Sandy.

The Big Sandy Rotary Club has grown to 24 members this past year. Rotary members are all busy people with a heart for Big Sandy and the desire to be part of something bigger. Being a Rotarian provides a person with the opportunity serve the community, make new friends, and build international relationships. The Big Sandy Rotary Club is the place to give back to your community and the world we live in. Rotary Club members are people, like you, who use their talents, skills, and energy to improve the lives of people in communities at home and around the world.

The members of the Big Sandy Rotary Club invite everyone to join them in Wishing Upon a Star, March 12, 2016. After 32 years the tickets are still $100.00 each and is good for a prime rib dinner for two, eligibility to win the grand prize of $3,000.00 along other big prizes. It is important to make sure you get your ticket so you can help the Big Sandy Rotary Club ensure the activities that make Big Sandy such a great place to live will continue.
