Donna says that these

bran muffins are good for what ails you.

4 cups all bran cereal

2 cups 100% bran cereal or whatever you have around the house

2 cups boiling water

1 quart buttermilk

3 cups sugar

1 cup shortening (canola oil)

1 teaspoon salt

4 eggs or an egg substitute

5 cups flour

5 teaspoons soda.

In large Tupperware bowl combine all bran, 100% bran, water, and buttermilk. Cream sugar, eggs, shortening, and salt and add to first mixture. Stir in flour and soda just to dampen. Do not over mix! Best if made the night before. Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutes.
