The Big Sandy band and choir performed at District Music Festival in Havre on April 7th. They performed well and received Excellent and Superior ratings from the adjudicators. There were 18 entries from Big Sandy made up of solos, duets, trios, and quartets that performed on Saturday, April 8th and all did very well. The high school choir and 5 soloists are going to State Music Festival in Missoula on May 5th and 6th. The soloists are: Dakota Terry-Clarinet, Sophia Reichelt-Vocal, Bailey Gasvoda-Piano, Audrey Sipler-Flute, and Everett Works-Vocal. The high school choir includes Stacey Allderdice, Jaylyn Cline, Seanna Demontiney, Grace Finke, Bailey Gasvoda, Hope Gasvoda, Jenna Leader, Sophia Reichelt, Jessica Roth, Tyler Schwarzbach, Dakota Terry, Everett Works, and Georgia Wortman. Solos and ensembles were accompanied by Melanie Schwarzbach, Nona Danreuther, and Amanda Rohlman.
All of the soloists and the choir will perform their State pieces at the Spring Concert on May 23rd at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. The Elementary Spring Concert is April 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
