Pioneer Athletics & Spectator Information for the Week

This week, the Pioneer Volleyball team hits the road, playing Hays-Lodgepole on Thursday evening (date change from the original schedule) and CJI on Saturday.

As of press time, no spectators are allowed at Hays, though you can watch the volleyball action on the NFHS network. Your only opportunity to watch the Pioneers in person this week is in Chester. CJI is welcoming spectators, but asks that you sign up prior to the game. Please check the Big Sandy High School web site or the Big Sandy Schools Facebook page for a link to sign up. You can also call Wendy Taylor at the high school office to sign up. (378-3400). CJI is not offering concessions, but does allow for outside food to be brought into the gym. Liberty County is currently reporting 8 cases of Covid-19, so be prepared to wear your mask in the gym.

The Pioneer Football team is headed to Heart Butte this Saturday. Heart Butte is also not allowing spectators. You can catch’s Saturday’s action on the NFHS network. More information will be provided later in the week as to local viewing locations. The Pioneers Junior High Football team will be hosting the Box Elder Bears on Tuesday, September 22nd at 4:00 p.m. All are welcome at this game. Masks are not required as long as you socially distance.
