The Pioneer Ladies Volleyball team beat Hays in three sets on Friday night. According to Coach Brittany McKenney “It was a good confidence boost for the girls to get another win under our belt. Keira Oats really stepped up to the plate and led the team with nine kills. She is getting stronger every time she steps foot on the court. It’s very exciting especially since she’s only an 8th grader! Overall, we played well and really started establishing more of an offense. The team finished with 30 kills.”

After a stunning win on Tuesday against Hays the Lady Pioneers lost their Thursday match with CJI match in three. However, Coach Mc Kenney was still pleased with her team and had this to say. “We lost to CJI in three, but our effort was definitely there. You can see how much the girls are continuing to improve. It’s going to be an exciting match when we meet up with them again. Our team worked really hard all the way through and it’s my hope that things will eventually start to click for us. Amiya Griffith led with 17 digs and Angie Sant also showcased a strong defensive game with 12 digs.
