On December 20th it was reported that Omicron was in Montana but, “Despite the detection of Omicron, Delta remains the predominant strain in Montana. “Given this activity around the country, it’s important that we exercise caution and take proven steps to prevent disease and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 here in Montana.”
DPHHS encourages all Montanans to take the following steps to protect themselves from becoming infected with COVID-19, including variants like Omicron.
In two weeks on Jan 3rd the DPHHS stated, “ This brings the statewide total to 64 cases infected with the omicron variant in 17 counties: Cascade, Chouteau, Deer Lodge, Fergus, Flathead, Gallatin, Glacier, Hill, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Mineral, Missoula, Pondera, Powell, Silver Bow, Teton, and Yellowstone.”
