Independence Bank is proud to announce the 2022 IB Scholarship recipients. IB offers seven $1,000 scholarships each year to incoming freshman students planning to attend Montana State University-Northern. To be eligible, students must graduate from a high school in Hill, Blaine, Phillips, Valley, Daniels, Roosevelt, Sheridan, Liberty, Chouteau, Pondera or Toole Counties.

Our 2022-2023 IB scholarship recipients include:

Kaden Frickel – Kaden is the son of Chad and Trina Frickel and is a 2022 graduate of North Star High School. He will be attending MSU-Northern in the fall and has not declared a major.

Daeson Salveson – Daeson is the son of Ryan and Holly Salveson and a 2022 graduate of Saco High School. He will be attending MSU-Northern in the fall, majoring in Business Administration.

Trevin Grammar – Trevin is the son of Devin and Kim Grammar and is a 2022 graduate of Chester-Joplin-Inverness High School. He will be attending MSU-Northern in the fall, majoring in Diesel Technology.

Bailey Schaub – Bailey is the daughter of Eva and Phil Stokes and Brian Schaub and is a 2022 graduate of Havre High School. She will be attending MSU-Northern in the fall, majoring in Business and Criminal Justice.

Sophie Kirkpatrick – Sophie is the daughter of Lorna and Jim Kirkpatrick and is a 2022 graduate of Havre High School. She will be attending MSU-Northern in the fall, majoring in Elementary Education.

Drake Berreth – Drake is the son of Brian and Jamie Berreth and is a 2022 graduate of Chinook High School. He will be attending MSU-Northern, majoring in Physical Education, and playing football for the Northern Lights.

Savannah Weaver – Savannah is the daughter of Pete Jerrel and she is a graduate of Big Sandy High School. She will be attending MSU-Northern and majoring in Agriculture Technology.
