I have struggled with this for a year now, hoping I would not have to increase the cost of advertisements. However, when Havre Daily’s newspaper print broke down, and I had to have Helena print the paper, the price of printing rose four times what it was costing me at Havre. After Havre had their printers fixed, their costs increased. I cannot meet my expenses without raising the cost of my advertisements. I haven’t raised the cost of the advertisements for four years. I hope everyone will continue to support the Mountaineer as I need to make this happen on the first of October.

I know we don’t have gold ribbon paper and still make mistakes, but I believe it is a tool to keep our community connected. It is the reason I bought the paper in the first place because of our close relationships and friendships. These days we need to stay connected more than ever.
