Tracksters compete at Top 8 in Great Falls

The Pioneers had two track meets this last week. On May 1st, they traveled to Rudyard for the Jason Groseclose Memorial. There were 13 teams at that track meet. Big Sandy attended the track meet without those who were competing at the Top 8 track meet. The boy’s team placed 9th place, and the girl’s team placed 6th at the Jason Groseclose Memorial track meet. Then on May 2nd, the invited Pioneers traveled to Great Falls for the Top 8 meet with 22 teams. The boys placed 6th overall, and the girls placed 8th overall. The district track meet is next for the Pioneers on Wednesday, May 10th. The results of those track meets are below:

Jason Groseclose Results: Ryder Galbavy placed 4th in the Shot Put( 35-3), 2nd in the discus (107-3), and 6th in the javelin (119-2). Heather Frank placed 3rd in the 100m 14.8, 2nd in the 200m 32, and 8th place: Heather Frank 10-6.5.-4, 5th discus 62-3, Keira Galbavy placed 8th in the Shot Put 25, 1st in Tori Dison took 8th in the Shot Put with 25-1, and 6th in the discus 56-6 the Javelin 92-8, and 5th in the High Jump 4’2. Brianna Terry took 5th in the Shot Put 26-1 and 8th in the discus 51-0. Getting PR at Rudyard were Sonny Phillips, Ryder Galbavy, and Hunter Moore in the 100m. Dolan Sunchild got PRs in the 200 and the Shot Put:

At the Cascade Top 8, Cooper Taylor took 4th in 100M with 11.7, 2nd in the 200m with 23.8, 7th in the Discuss with 124-4, and 2nd in the Javelin 149-9. Wylee Snapp took 2nd place in the Shot Put 47’6.5 and 4th place in the Discus 130-11.

Pioneer Women results; In the 800m Alex Worrall took 3rd at 2.46, and in the 1600m took 3rd at 6:01. Angie Sant took 7th in the 800 at 2.50, and in the 1600m, 6th at 6:19. In the 100m hurdles, Malaysia Baumann took 7th 18.7 and Jai Baumann took 8th 19.4. Kaya Demontiney took 8th in the 300h 55.3. In the 400m relay Kaya Demontiney, Mattie Gasvoda, Eva Yeadon, and Carmen Tan took 8th 56.7. In the1600m relay taking 5th place, Eva Yeadon, Mattie Gasvoda, Angie Sant, and Jenny Sant 4:39. Eva Yeadon took 5th in the high jump at 4’10

In the Triple Jump: 2nd place Malaysia Baumann 32-11.5 and in 6th place Jai Baumann 31-6.75
