Swim results from Hamilton

The Big Sandy Swim Team went to Hamilton this past weekend, and they did amazing! Henry Merrill even beat a state federation record in the 200-yard freestyle, with a remarkable time of 218.3. Hamilton is a long way to travel, but the two days were fabulous—every swimmer who traveled to the event placed.

Here are the results of the swimmers advancing to finals in Hamilton. Marquelle Houle: 32 points for the team, Girls 13-14 division: 50 Yard Free: 3rd palace 35.46, 100 Yard Free: 5th place 1:20.1, 100 Yard Back: 1st place 1:59.1, 200 Yard Medley (13-14 division): and 1st place 2:47.0

Dorothea Merrill: 33 points for the team, Girls 11-12 division: 50 Yard Free: 2nd place 35.8, 50 Yard Breast: 4th place 55.0, 100 Yard Free: 2nd place 1:23.1, 200 Yard Medley (13-14 division): and 1st place 2:47.0

Eden Pansch: 28 points for the team, Girls 13-14 division, 50 Yard Free: 4th place 37.5, 100 Yard Free: 6th place 1:22.0, 100 Yard Back: 2nd place 5:00.0, and 200 Yard Medley (13-14 division) 1st place 2:47.0

Harley Labuda: 34 points for the team, Girls 15-19 division, 50 Yard Free: 3rd place 28.85, 100 Yard Breast: 2nd place 1:31.9, and 100 Yard Free: 2nd place 1:05.5

Mackenzie Werk: 42 points for the team, Girls 13-14 division, 50 Yard Free: 1st place 30.9, 100 Yard Free: 1st place 1:04.7, 200 Yard Medley (13-14 division): 1st place 2:47.0, and 200 Yard Free: 1st place 2:33.3

Henry Merrill: 42 points for the team, Boys 13-14 division, 50 Yard Free: 1st place 25.8, 50 Yard Fly: 1st place 27.1, and 200 Yard Free: 1st place 2:18.3 new state federation record.

Henry Merrill and Mackenzie Werk were both high point for their age division at the swim meet.
