Filing for the June 2, 2026 Federal Primary Election opened on February 17 and closes at 5 pm on March 4, 2026. Open offices in Chouteau County are: Commissioner District 1, County Attorney, Clerk and Recorder, Justice of the Peace, Treasurer, and Sheriff.
The Commissioner District 1 election has been changed this year due to a lawsuit brought by the Chippewa Cree Indians of the Rocky Boy’s Reservation, Tanya Schmockel, and Ken Morsette.
