  • Big Sandy Teacher's Vision takes Shape: New Ceramics Classes Set 2nd Semester

    The Big Sandy High School is in the early stages of installing a ceramics studio for the art education program. The long planned move is part of a larger facility upgrade for the program, which will eventually include a move to a larger classroom space. The ceramics studio is projected to be finished by the end of the calendar year. The efforts have been paid for by community fundraisers held last year, donations, and adult education funds.     1 Years ago January 7, 1926 Authority was granted for the removal of Mackton’s spur at Big Sandy by the Montana Railroad Commission. The Great Northern Railway had applied for removal of the 785-foot spur, which extended to the old Mackton coal mine and had been constructed several years earlier. Mr. J.A. McClintock, a former resident of Big Sandy who had lived in Auburn, Washington, for the past 18 months, passed away at Tacoma General Hospital on December 25, 1925. He was 58 years old.     On December 5th we traveled to Sunburst to take on the North Toole County Refiners of the 10C. We walked away with a 56-45 win.
