Big Sandy School Superintendent Brad Moore will be attending a national conference in Phoenix, Arizona from February 10 through 16, 2016. He will be attending the conference with his wife and son.

Two Montana Superintendents are picked from applications each year to attend the AASA (American Association of School Administrators) Convention which is sponsored by the Montana Association of School Superintendents.

Jim Rouse of Browning is the other Superintendent to win the award this year.

According to Associate director Pat Audet, Moore will be attending a national conference which is one of the better professional learning environments anywhere.

“Brad will be going down to Arizona and learning and networking with superintendents all over the United States,” added Audet.

Funding such an award by the Montana School Superintendents Organization is always important. It is very costly to even get to this particular conference and to have two superintendents from Montana there is great for both their professional learning.

“Another important aspect to this conference is that none of the Montana Superintendents have attended a national conference in education and that makes this conference even more important for professional learning,” said Audet.

Superintendent Moore said, “I appreciate the support from the Montana Association of School Superintendents, and with our local trustees. I am glad to be able to continue my professional activities on a state and national level.”

Brad Moore works hard as any Superintendent ever has for the Big Sandy School System. It is very good to know that he will not only continue to work hard for Big Sandy, but he will bring some state and national education ideas back home with him. Some of those ideas may not work here in Montana but some may become perfect answers for hard to answer questions in education in Montana and elsewhere.
