Lisa, Teal and Marlys stopped in "The Mountaineer" to start talking about the Christmas Stroll that is a short month away. This year's stroll is happening on December 5.
Buttons and ugly sweaters were on the minds of the Chamber of Commerce representatives for this week.
There are kids' buttons and adult buttons. Each one sells for $5.00 and all are on sale today at any Chamber sponsor. Remember, kids' buttons are for kids 12 and under.
Prizes for winning buttons are on display at Wells Fargo Bank and are they something else this year. For kids there are a Ripstick Board and a John Deere Loader Tractor. For adults there are two nights, family plan, at Fairmont Hot Springs and an I Watch Sport. Those are just starters. The Prize committee outdid itself this year.
The drawing for the buttons is December 5, 5:30 at Jerry Martin Memorial Hall.
Then there is the Ugly Sweater Auction, part 2.
Remember that should you decorate a sweater, your job is to portray on your sweater, Christmas as ugly as it could possibly be.
Hurry though, for even though sweater blanks are available now at Wells Fargo, these will go quickly. There are kids' sweater blanks this year and for those of you who feel vindictive and ugly, there are blanks in Bobcat and Griz colors! Oh wait, I should have said Griz and Bobcat colors. Sorry about that!
Along with the button drawing, the ugly sweaters will be auctioned off during the Stroll on December 5.
