According to unofficial minutes of the January 19 School Board meeting, trustees present were Kurt Strutz, Darin Genereux, Brad Weaver, and Brandon Gasvoda. Absent was Diana LaBuda.

Staff present was Superintendent Moore, Clerk Engle and Elementary Lead Teacher Heather Wolery.

Visitors present were Traci Rodewald, Rhonda Works, Miranda Schwenke, Charlie Sipler, Brianna Bernhardt, Teal Pool, Lianna Heimbigner, Laura Cline, Whitney Peterson, Diana Keane, Larry Brumwell, Sheri Moore, Christine Anacker, James Anacker, Leah Olson, Melanie Schwarzbach, and Bethany Monroe DeBorde.

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Kurt Strutz, the Pledge was recited and guests were welcomed by Strutz.

Minutes of the previous meeting were approved.

There were no public comments.

Thank you notes were received for the Big Sandy Bucks.

Regarding the camera/door bid, the Board approved spending more money on the system. The new unofficial quote was $6,600.00.

Terms of the attendance agreement for the non-traditional student were not met.

Melanie Schwarzbach was approved as head track coach. Leah Olson was approved as assistant track coach and Bernie Ellingson was approved as a volunteer track coach.

Fred Watstein was approved by the Board as the Facilities Manager

Superintendent Moore reported that several people have applied for the position of Assistant/Head Cook in Training. Interviews will be conducted soon.

Diana Keane was hired as an independent contractor to work with the school to provide mental health services.

Superintendent Moore spoke regarding the successes and less successful items and his recommendations for the modified calendar.

The Board approved a contract with Coke.

Discussion was held regarding declaring a lot of things as obsolete and putting it out for bid. No action was taken.

Bus repairs were approved

Nothing new on the safety plan.

Regarding negotiations Brandon Gasvoda reported good progress being made in negotiations.

Superintendent Moore reported that Cindy Pokorny had accepted an early retirement plan.

During the February Board meeting the curriculum committee will be reporting on the math curriculum.

Superintendent Moore has accepted the resignation of Walt Sivertsen.

January 21 fourth and fifth graders attended the MAGIE in Great Falls.

The elementary ski trip information is out to students. It will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016.

Claims and Warrants were approved and the meeting was adjourned. The next regular School Board meeting will be February 16, 2016
