Hill County Electric Cooperative (HCE) has announced that it will be mailing out capital credit checks to current and former cooperative members. HCE’s Board of Trustees has authorized a general retirement of capital credits totaling over $106,000.

This general retirement is comprised of 10% of the remaining capital credit balances for 1984 and ½ of 1% of the capital credit balances for the years 1985 through 2014. The amount of each check varies based on how much business the member did with HCE during the years being retired. Checks will be mailed to members the first week of May.

HCE is also searching for members who have unclaimed patronage capital credits due to an insufficient address. The unclaimed capital credit list is available at http://www.HillCountyElectric.coop under the “Membership” tab. Please contact HCE’s Capital Credit Representative at 394-7804 with any questions.
