Rice wins medals in JR. High Track

Rylee Rice of Ainsworth, NE is shown here with all 4 of her gold medals that she earned in the Nebraska JR high championship meet Saturday May 14, 2016. Rylee earned 40points to help lead the Lady Bulldogs to a team win and earning herself Female Most Valuable Athlete of the meet.

Rylee qualified for the all class meet by ranking in the top 24 of each of her events. She held the top spot in the 100 hurdles, 200 hurdles, 1600 meter run, and the 800 meter run.

It was a beautiful track day for Rylee has she set three new event records in the 100 hurdles with a time of 15.51 (15.65), 200 hurdles 29.45 (29.91), 1600 meter run 5:11.35 (5:23.74), and she took first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2.20:88 just barely missing the meet record of 2.20.66.

Rylee is the 14 year old daughter to Will and Danetta Rice of Ainsworth, NE and granddaughter to Irene Rice of Big Sandy, MT.
