Pioneers open season in Centerville Friday, Belt Saturday

Junior Jenna Leader has steadied the defense the past couple of years and was at it again against the Miners making a nice dig to keep the point alive.
It has been a hot and muggy August in the gym for the Lady Pioneers. After watching the American Beach Volleyball duo of Kerri and April battle it out in the heat of Rio, inspiration was in no short supply.
Big Sandy volleyball is very positive with former Pioneer standout volleyball player Shersteen Cline, coming in to coach the team and hopes and dreams are running high.
Coach Cline and the Lady Pioneers headed to Centerville on Friday to kick-off the season. Saturday the team was back in the area and took part in the Belt Tournament.
