Montana Association of Clerk & Recorders offers $1000 Scholarship

The Montana Association of Clerks and Recorders is again sponsoring a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating senior who will be attending an in state school. Applications will be accepted until March 17, 2017.
Application forms are available at the Clerk and Recorder’s Office at the Courthouse in Fort Benton or from the Guidance Counselors at the Big Sandy, Fort Benton, Geraldine, and Highwood High Schools.
Application forms must be received by Clerk and Recorder Lana Claassen by March 17, 2017. Applications from Chouteau County will be judged by a Clerk and Recorder in a different county and then submitted to be judged with winners from all counties. Applications are judged on the basis of scholastic performance, goals, and school and civic involvement.
The winner and alternate will be notified after May 1, 2017. The scholarship will be given directly to the school of the student’s choice after the student has been accepted by the school.
