Don’t forget to buy your tickets soon for the annual Rotary Banquet which is March 18 at 6pm and held in the high school gymnasium.

There is lots of fun to be had and enough good work done to last the Big Sandy community until next year all at that one banquet. Remember that tickets are a hundred dollars a couple and include a prime rib dinner and a chance to win three thousand dollars just for being there and called up on the stage!

Proceeds, as usual go toward the Big Sandy community and youth activities.

The grand prize is, of course the three thousand dollars. The grand prize is sponsored by several very generous donors who have given a hundred dollars and up to make up the three thousand dollars. The person or persons winning the grand prize will have the opportunity to multiply their winnings if they win that prize.

Second prize is a trip on Delta anywhere and back for two in the continental United States.

Other prizes include an I Pad Air III, a Pelican Cooler, a 40inch smart TV, a kitchen aid mixer, a Beats Blue Tooth wireless headphone, a round fire cooker, a family photo shoot by Mackenzie/Jenkins photos, and a Kuerig 2.0 coffee maker.

Patti Reichelt and Brenda Yirsa have created a special quilt for the occasion. It will be auctioned off during the evening’s festivities.

Sponsored by Big Sandy’s newest watering hole, the Diamonds 4 U Club will be a brand new Pick A Chip Game. There will be 50 opportunities to buy a chip from a buck to fifty bucks. The winning chip wins a barbeque tail gate package from Northern Electronics. And for each chip bought, that entitles the buyer to a free drink at the Diamonds 4 U Club!

There will be various door prizes throughout the evening and raffles and a silent auction.

All the auction items and prizes are on display at Wells Fargo Bank in Big Sandy.

And, not to forget that Chandee Bomgardner will be catering one of the best prime rib dinners and all the fixings that you will eat all year long. If prime rib is your thing, this is a good place to really chow down!

It is this benefit that keeps Big Sandy rolling along the rest of the year. It is a time and place to meet old friends, have a lot of fun and this benefit helps out the entire Big Sandy community and many venues nearby such as Sheehy Park.

This Rotary Benefit fits in perfectly this week because this is National Agriculture Week and the Rotary Banquet is honoring and recognizing the importance of agriculture to our community.
