"The Mountaineer" in the last several months has had front page stories by a number of people about the good and bad of National Heritage Areas.

In reviewing the National Heritage Area being proposed for our part of Montana, we notice that the area has been made smaller. Towns that ought to be concerned yet include Belt, Ulm, Cascade, Sun River, Fort Shaw, Great Falls, Fort Benton, Monarch, Neihart and Vaughn. Those communities will be directly impacted by the National Heritage Area according to area rancher Dana Darlington.
