Richter talks Graduation

May 17, 2017

It has been a tradition for several years at

"The Mountaineer" to feature a graduating senior girl and boy with a parent in an interview for the graduation edition.

This year is no exception. We have Alex Richter whose story is told by her father Jeff and Matthew Louvar whose mother Debbie tells his story.

First here is the interview about graduating senior Alex Richter,

"Alex attended a graduation in Big Sandy and decided that she wanted to graduate from a small school and Big Sandy was her choice, said Jeff Richter. "She has spent this last year living with me and my wife Maggie and we have been so glad she has been with us for her senior year.

Alex had been in a big school in Utah which had a huge enrollment. In Utah Alex lived with her mother, Debbie Richter. Jeff says Alex has been very happy spending her senior year in Big Sandy.

"Alex has a great sense of humor and likes being around people," Jeff added.

Here are some things that Dad Jeff thought readers might like to know about his daughter Alex.

Alex will be going to Costa Rica with her mother for a while after she graduates.

She has a step dad named Rick Kitchens.

Alex loves music and she was able to see Stevie Nicks live in a concert with her mother.

Jeff is really proud that Alex has a part time job this last year working with him at Big Sandy Activities. She is still working with her dad.

Alex started basketball this year and played volleyball.

Once Alex returns from Costa Rica, she plans on living with her sister, Roberta Kell in Washington DC. For awhile.

Alex is very glad to be graduating on Memorial Day weekend.

Alex enjoys listening to music on her phone when she drives.

Alex's middle name is Katherine. She is named after my mother Kay Warner said Jeff Richter. Her grandparents, John and Kay Warner live in Missoula along with other members of our family.

Alex loves Rockin' Rudy's which is a record store in Missoula. Ed. note....Alex is not the only one who loves Rockin' Rudy's.

Alex would love to open a yoga studio while she is in Costa Rica.

Helen Richter is Alex's grandmother who lives right here in Big Sandy.

Alex Richter has big plans for the future and the way she has finished her first job and graduated, she probably will have no trouble at all moving on to the next parts of her life. Meanwhile she will not forget Big Sandy and Big Sandy will not forget Alex Richter!
