May 30, 2018

Between May 29th and June 8th the Jeff Reichelt Memorial Library will be holding a food drive for the food bank and you’ll get to walk away with free books. In other words a “Book Sale Food Drive”. The non-perishable food items can be brought to the library, left there, and you can pick out your books from a large selection. Library Hours: Tuesday 12-6; Wednesday 10-2; Thursday 12-6: and Friday 10-2.

Food most requested and needed are hot and cold cereal, juice especially lemonade mix and grapefruit juice, condiments especially ketchup, mayo, and mustard. Canned items chili, stew, Pork and Beans, canned tomatoes, peanut butter, beans and tuna are also requested.

Please do not bring expired food items, opened items or items that don’t have labels.

The food pantry is used! Saturday’s handout of old bread isn’t used a much as the food bank its self. There are 45-80 people using the food bank to help supply their food needs in the Big Sandy area. People use it only when they need it. After they get back on their feet they are honest about not needing to use it again. Food is always needed please consider this food drive and pick up a sack full of books.

Since the food bank is not a delivery service, those Senior Citizens who can’t or don’t want to drive can contact Terry Grant at 406-390-2922. Pastor Erik Sietsema can be reached at 399-3803.
