October 10, 2018

Join us as we explore two distinctive artists renderings of one historic event, the surrender of Chief Joseph on October 5th 1877. Experience this significant event through the eyes of two different artist. We will be contemplating a painting by Howard Terpning and a sketch by G.N. Holland. Participants will share their observations and re imagine what the artist was conveying or trying to communicate through their art. The Prairie Rose Art Gallery will be joining us for the evening and will lead a discussion about the creation of art, from the composition and rendering to the actual story line. To RSVP or for questions contact Kristina Smith (406)622-4000 or kristina@missouribreaks.org
