Connie Reichelt will be taking her advance Spanish class to Jaco, Costa Rica, April 9-18. The Box Elder High School English teacher Kelsey Miller will also be going. Although many of their students have been out of the country, it is only been to Canada.

So, traveling by plane, going through four airports has them a little anxious. They are excited for this "trip of a lifetime." After they arrive they will be bussed from San Jose International Airport to Pumilio House in Jaoc, Costa Rica where they will be staying for six days.

They are looking forward to the summer weather. Temperatures will be in the 90's. So, it will be wonderful as the next day they will be soaking in the sun at the local beach and touring the area. On the 11th they have a private tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. Manuel Antonio National Park is a popular spot in Costa Rica. The 3-square-mile park is situated along the Pacific Ocean and has an abundance of rainforest, beaches, and wildlife. They'll be visiting the rainforest canopy and while in the rainforest they plan on enjoying the zip line.

Besides experiencing the ocean beaches, the rainforest, and viewing hundreds of new wildlife, they will be going to schools to help teach English to the students.

On their last day, they will be travelling into San Jose checking into a new hotel. Before leaving Costa Rica they will spend their last day touring the largest city and going to museums.

They will be gone for seven days. They are looking forward to the "fun stuff" but also learning how their cultures are similar. "All native cultures do have some similarities, but it will be good to see how different they are too." They are curious as to how different their lifestyles will be.

Connie hopes the experience will improve their Spanish as well as give them a chance to expand their minds. She also believes they will see more similarities then they now expect and travelling will give them a larger perspective.

"We still have to make a little bit of money to make. They do need a little bit of money to help pay for food. We've had some really good donations. The kids have run a store every day, and during the basketball games this years.

"It is an opportunity of a life time."

"I am so excited."
