RECYCLING BONANZA

– E-waste collection is back!

April 27, 2019, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Dedman Foundation Parking Lot, 1410 24th St, Fort Benton

It is that time of year for the annual Recycling Bonanza. This year we will be able to collect electronic equipment including computers and computer accessories, phones and tablets, entertainment equipment, office equipment, televisions and monitors and more. Most of the electronic items will be collected for free, however, fees may apply for large items and others, such as the Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) units.

Additionally, we will be collecting household batteries (sorted by chemical type—no liquid batteries will be accepted); reusable paint—all kinds; shoes—gently used or better; clothing and accessories (sorted by clothing type, ie shirts, pants, coats, belts); steel cans; cardboard; newspaper/magazines/paper; eye glasses; phone books; aluminium cans (separate from steel cans); and for this collection only--#1 and #2 plastics with screw on lids/tops. Scrap metal and appliances will also be collected. Tabs from aluminium cans are being collected separately from the cans and will be given to the Ronald McDonald House which help support their efforts.

The Friends of the Chouteau County Library will also be collecting books for their book sale which takes place during Summer Celebration (no encyclopedias or other sets of reference books will be taken.) Paper shredding will be available as well.

Watch for additional information in the upcoming editions.
