The Jeff Reichelt Library will host Coloring Contest

November 27, 2019

Our town library is doing its part in bringing the Christmas Spirit to our community by hosting a coloring contest for all ages. The coloring pictures must be turned in before December 7th. The Prize for all for winners is going to be one free milkshake from the Grocery Store each. Stop in, grab a picture, color it, and bring it back. Good Luck! The library is going to be opened from 10 am to 2 pm during the Christmas Stroll.

A book sale is also taking place this December. The library had many books donated to be sold; the price will be $1 a bag. If you love to read, then this is the event for you! Thank you to anyone and everyone who donated, the library has a whole storage unit full of novels, kids’ books, and other great reads! And while you’re there, make sure to turn in your letters to Santa in the Magical Santa Mailbox. This enchanted box sends your letters straight to the North Pole for Santa and his elves to read. But the best part is that Santa, himself, is going to write back to you! Pick up some letters or make your very own special ones!

For a little extra Christmas Spirit, over the next few months, they will be hosting a winter clothing exchange. Their closet is filled with coats, mittens, and even some boots. Just after the Christmas Stroll, the local 4-H Club will be donating a hat and mitten tree. A Christmas tree filled with hats and mittens. So, if you need some warm articles of clothing this winter, feel free to drop by and pick some up. Its also a great way to give back to the community, donating warm, unused winter gear is guaranteed to get you on the Nice List with Santa. The Clothing Exchange will be available through January.

Friends of the Library are hosting a fundraiser. They will be selling eight handmade baskets and 1 quilt. The quilt is already on display at the local library, so stop in and take a look. A “stuffed animal sleepover” will be held at the library on December 12th. You can get the details for both events from the librarian.

Thank you to our wonderful library for putting all these events together. They are one of the best parts of our community. Good luck to all of our contestants in the coloring contest. And feel free to take part in any of the upcoming activities.
