The Big Sandy Mountaineer -

The Big Sandy Science Olympiad teams competed at the state event in Bozeman on November 25th-26th. The junior high team placed 24th out of 51 teams and the high school placed 22nd out of 47 teams.

In the junior high division, Reinhard Bold and Lane Demontiney placed first out of 51 teams in the Water Quality event. They were required to build and calibrate their own salinometer using household materials and then answered questions about water quality testing and environmental pollution.
