How to set Healthy Goals

June 10, 2020

Today’s article is going to be short, because I just want to challenge you. I want you to find a piece of paper, or poster board or even use a cool computer program. And here are some things I want you to do and/or think about.

I want you to write down some goals, and/or make a vision board. Here are some things you can think about while writing your goals down or making your vision board.

1. Think about what makes you happy. Truly happy.

2. Think about different aspects of your life. Your mental well-being, your spiritual well-being, and your physical well-being.

3. Ask yourself what’s important for you to achieve your highest level of happiness.

4. Ask yourself what it will take to get to where you want to be in life (in all aspects), such as your job, your career, your family, your marriage, your friendships, your church family.

5. Write down bullets, brainstorm, plan, and create a life you WANT to live. And then...live it!

6. Do this for yourself and then share it with someone you love, or someone that means something to you. Make these goals and dreams a reality.

Everything is possible. Read personal development. Reach out to someone and share your dreams and goals. And then...do it. Live those goals, make that vision board.

Courage doesn’t always roar...sometimes it’s the quiet voice at the end of the day whispering, ‘I will try again tomorrow’.

Beet and Apple Kale Chicken Salad:

2tsp olive oil

2tbsp rice wine vinegar

1tsp reduced sodium soy sauce

4 cups chopped raw kale, washed and patted dry

1 small apple

1/2 cup chopped cooked beets

4oz cooked chicken breast, boneless, skinless, chopped

1. To make dressing, combine oil, vinegar, and soy sauce in a small bowl; whisk to blend

2. Place kale in large serving bowl. Massage dressing, using clean hands or rubber spatula, until kale leaves are softened. Yes massaging makes all the difference

3. Top kale with apple, beets, and chicken; toss gently to blend.

4. Serve immediately or refrigerate, covered, for up to 8 hours.
