Sunshine Snippers 4-H Club spread Positive comments

June 24, 2020

Interestingly, the Sunshine Snippers 4-H Club choose to write positive quotes on the sidewalk downtown, fitting of their name Sunshine. They did ask the permission of the business owners. I just had to have every one written down, thanks to my granddaughter Faith, who walked the streets and wrote them in a tablet for me. It’s worth reading and implementing them.

Be the reason someone smiles today.

Spread joy!

Throw love like confetti.

In a world where you can be everything, be kind.

Think positive. Feel Positive. Be positive.

Don’t give up

It’s cool to be kind.

Kindness changes everything.

Smile.

Be You.

The world needs you in it.

Choose joy.

Let love lead you in all that you do.

Keep your face to the Sunshine, and you can never see a shadow.

We rise by lifting others.

A little kindness goes a long way.

Believe.

Choose happiness.

Be kind.

Be Happy.

Never stop dreaming

There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy.

Love one another.

They also had two knock-knock jokes written on the sidewalk, hoping to help someone laugh.

I researched an on-line article by Kendra Cherry MS on the “verywell mind” site. She wrote, “In recent years, the so-called “power of positive thinking” has gained a great deal of attention thanks to self-help books such as The Secret. While these pop-psychology books often tout positive thinking as a sort of psychological panacea, empirical research has found that there are many very real health benefits linked to positive thinking and optimistic attitudes.”

“According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, positive thinking is linked to a wide range of health benefits, including:

o Longer life span

o Less stress

o Lower rates of depression

o Increased resistance to the common cold

o Better stress management and coping skills

o Lower risk of cardiovascular disease-related death

o Increased physical well-being

o Better psychological health

“One study of 1,558 older adults found that positive thinking could also reduce frailty during old age,” which I’m all
