August 26, 2020

4-H and FFA youth had the opportunity to wrap up the year by showing their projects and having them judged at the 2020 Chouteau County 4-H and FFA Fair, August 13-16. These projects included babysitting, beef, beef breeding, cat, cloverbuds, crocheting, educational posters, electricity, entomology, foods and nutrition, gardening/horticulture, horse, knitting, leadership, leathercraft, photography, poultry, quilting, rabbit, robotics, sewing and textiles, sheep, sheep breeding, shooting sports, sport fishing, swine, swine breeding and woodworking. Every youth exhibitor completed an interview for every project they entered and, in addition, the youth with animal projects competed in showmanship classes.

The experience of exhibiting at Fair allows the youth to demonstrate and share their knowledge they gained by participating in the project, strengthen their communication skills in sharing their knowledge with others and build character and life skills such as setting and achieving goals, teamwork, critical thinking, time management, record keeping, financial tracking, prioritization, decision making, resiliency, safety and many more.
