2021 Montana Drought Series for Livestock Producers in Havre

Montana State University Ranch Management Systems Team in collaboration with local MSU Extension agents have put together a series of workshops to address potential strategies to reduce the effects of drought in 2021. The 2021 Montana Drought Series has put together a tour of talks in 5 locations across the state where drought is most prominent. The topics featured include; Cattle Management During Drought, Range Conditions and Grazing During Drought, Forage Management Options During Drought and Nitrates, and Reproduction Strategies During Drought. The speakers are all part of the MSU Ranch Management Systems Team and include Dr. Megan Van Emon and Dr. Carla Sanford, Beef Cattle Specialists; Dr. Jeff Mosley, Range Management Specialist; and Dr. Hayes Goosey, Forage Specialist. The series will start on April 26th in Sidney, April 27th in Miles City, April 28th in Havre, April 29th in Lewistown and will finish up on May 6th in Dillon. The stop in Havre will be from 1-5 pm at the 4-H Chuckwagon, 1676 US Hwy 2, on April 28th.
