Senior Barracudas take their final lap

July 28, 2021

Big Sandy Barracudas had six senior swimmers, which means they have five senior swimmers and one that will not swim in the future. Four of them will be going to state next week to swim for the Barracudas one last weekend.

Cam Schwarzbach, son of Shaud and Melanie Schwarzbach and has swam for Big Sandy for 10 years. He plans to swim for the college of Idaho and major in Business Administration. His most memorable moment: "Celebrating his birthday at the Choteau Swim Meet by eating three trays of chocolate-covered strawberries."

Brady and Caydence Pleninger are the son and daughter of Heather and Scott Pleninger. Both Caydence and Brady have swam for nine years. Caydence doesn't know what she will be doing in the future, but she wrote "a gypsy riding in a VW van." Brady had already left for Military training and didn't have time to fill out the form; however, Travis Baumann, his coach, would say that breaking two federation records in one weekend at State 2019 would be his memorable moment.

Dillion Geyer is the son of Larry and Crystal Geyer. He has swum for the Barracudas for ten years. He plans to go into the military.

Kade Strutz, son of Kurt and Cheryl Strutz, has swam for the Barracudas for 12 years. He plans to attend MSU Bozeman in the fall. His most memorable moment was swimming one last relay with my friends at Cut Bank this year.

Jozlyn Baumann is the daughter of Travis and Annie Baumann. She has swam for ten years for the Barracudas. Jozlyn enjoys helping younger swimmers. In the future, she plans to get a bachelor's degree at the U of M in Journalism. Her most memorable moment is having team dinners during Divisionals and State. "We make sure to load up on chocolate-covered strawberries and Indian tacos and then try our best not to sink the next day during our races."
