Pioneers head into Post-Season with tough loss to PDB

The Pioneers had a tough week this last Wednesday, facing off against the #3 ranked Power Dutton Brady Titans. The Titans shut out the Pioneers 44-0 in the Northern Conference championship for their first title in a long time. The Pioneers did not look like their usual selves, as they struggled to put any offense into play. However, the Titans are known for their intense defense. Big Sandy's speed in their running offense was met with fast defensive players. Big Sandy's passing was defended well as the quicker, taller players didn't allow Big Sandy to complete many passes.

Larry Jappe, head coach of the Big Sandy Pioneers, said he was sure the Pioneers would make the playoffs, and they met that goal at the beginning of the year. Although they would prefer to go into the playoffs in first place in the district, playing in second might allow them to end the season by coming back through the ranks. They will look to find some redemption next week against the Valley-Christian Eagles. The Pioneers are scheduled to play @Valley-Christian next Saturday at 6 pm in Missoula.
